From the Ashes

Hey everyone, sorry about the long hiatus that occurred; not having access to a scanner for long periods of time made uploading these images a pain. Anywho, here's the introduction to the Ragrusseh, one of the most successful macropredators surviving the nuclear winter. Closing into the size of the Terran's Haast eagle in terms of volume, the Ragrusseh is able to prey on some of the largest remaining fauna, from Taurohs to Louguanas to Tutboaras but more frequently hunt smaller animals. Even in the midst of a mass extinction, the Ragrusseh has survived in perfectly viable populations because of their flight and their rigid skeletal structure. Unlike the Haast Eagle, the Ragrusseh has wings that are quite adept at static soaring for energy saving. The wing "membrane" can also be flexed to allow for more dynamic flight, such as when the Ragrusseh is hunting. The rigid body that the Ragrusseh and all its kin have allow for its clade to be able to move terrestrially for far longer than other such clades of "Anomalocaroids", which is something I'll get into in a later date. In any case, it seems that if there is any group that seems to be the most likely to be a major player following the mass extinction, it is the Ragrusseh and its kin.
